You Are Just Right

Looking in the mirror, what do you see?  It probably depends on the moment and how you are feeling about yourself and your life.  Perhaps someone was happy to see you, and then you see yourself with a smile, which makes you feel attractive and lovable.  Perhaps someone snubbed you; your image doesn’t seem attractive, and your insecurity shows through.  There is a lot of insecurity in human relationships, and that can make us insecure about our own value. Take some time to meditate and align your heart, mind, and soul with your eternal spiritual essence.  That essence is one with the One and is beautiful, harmonious, and unconditionally loving.  Then, look in the mirror again and see yourself from this perspective.  You will find you are just right! There is a reason for each of the traits and qualities that we have chosen in our human forms.  I have often asked myself why my higher self chose my father’s legs instead of my mother’s, and I would have loved her cheekbones and bigger eyes.  But my father was the unconditionally loving one, and we have been close through most of our lifetimes.  Mom was difficult…judgmental, fearful, angry.  I guess

Courage to Thrive

There is strength which comes from a primal place within each of us that gives courage to thrive within our lives.  It is often buried beneath our upbringings and social mores.  Alternatively, those who access it may not do so with good intentions.  Learning to embrace our power from a place of love and compassion for ourselves and others is a type of mastery that enables us to succeed in all our endeavors. Penny Golden, our BMS Guide Publisher, reminded me of my own journey toward this goal when she wrote to us authors about courage.  She called it cou-rage, and my mind immediately went to a time in my life when I first began to learn about the right use of emotional and instinctual power.   I am inspired to share some of my journey with you. My mother was a rage-aholic.  In my dreams, she was a tornado and a raging fire, destructive and terrifying.  I learned not to trust her, and I honor the instinct that led me to protect — it was my first step of self-care. Today, I give thanks to her for being the mother I chose from a higher level because the lessons I needed

Spiritual Influences in 2025

Looking ahead at the coming year with my spiritual vision, I see beyond the political, social, economic, and environmental influences. What is coming are spiritual changes that will transform our world. While people in this country have been riding the wave of the election and its implications for the past 6 months, a tremendous amount of essential change has been happening spiritually.  That has laid a foundation for exponential transformation throughout 2025. Contrary to popular opinion, spiritual influences are the deciding factor for Earth.   Spirit is the cause of life and endures beyond even our world.  The world has been a nursery and a workout system for growing souls who can co-create, each as a unique and unconditionally loving part of the One.  Built from illusions of separation and lies about being limited, that old-world role for Earth is ended.  Humans, our planet, and all creation are ascending back into unity with our eternal Higher Selves to fulfill the vision for which we were created. Our journey of ascension has reached a critical turning point. There is no going back into the old-world experience. (See my book Riding the Wave of Change – Hope, Healing & Spiritual Growth for Our World

Claim Your Accomplishments from 2024!

As we approach the end of the year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and build a foundation for continued growth and success in 2024. Even the smallest achievements deserve recognition, as they contribute to our personal and spiritual development. The period between the Winter Solstice—the longest night of the year on December 21st—and New Year’s Eve is a wonderful time to create a ritual of inner reflection to acknowledge these accomplishments. It’s essential to focus on all areas of success. When we look back, we often dwell on what went wrong and overlook the valuable gifts we’ve earned along the way. Yet uncovering and celebrating successes, even in challenging circumstances, can be both rewarding and transformative. Even situations that didn’t go as planned hold treasures to be harvested—like wisdom and strength gained. Recognizing these benefits can heal old wounds and help us build a brighter future. Acknowledging incidental accomplishments also shifts negative judgments into positive attitudes, supporting our ongoing growth in the new year. Remember, the most successful people often fail multiple times before achieving greatness. It’s hard to see this truth when you feel defeated, but a yearly review can illuminate your victories and

Managing Your Transformation

For almost 40 years, I have been training people to engage in the process of ascension and to manage that journey to have the smoothest experience.  Here are some of the basic elements that can help you with yours! Ascension is physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.  All parts of us are ascending.  There are always stressful elements of any change, and this one affects us so comprehensively that daily effort is required to keep body and soul on the right track for a positive experience. People are experiencing more emotional and mental stress and anxiety than usual.  This is a symptom of change.  Attempting to suppress these with chemicals such as marijuana or alcohol disempowers and may effectively stall your transformation.   Overeating can be another unhealthy way to calm stress. Try the following suggestions for managing your transformational stressors, mastering the challenges, and growing strong. Tools to Smooth Your Journey: –            Morning spiritual tune-up and preparation for your day makes the difference between struggling and thriving. Getting from Here to There

We are in a worldwide period of transition.  Each of us is undergoing myriad experiences of change, often leaving people at a loss as to how to find their way to whatever comes next.  Here are some thoughts about that journey and how to best use the opportunities. The in-between-times I often think are like pregnancy.  Something new is being born within us, but it isn’t here yet.  We don’t know exactly what it will be, but the waiting often feels uncomfortable, and we know it will change our lives forever. The overall purpose of this phase of evolution, which is called world ascension, is to awaken to the memory of our eternal true spiritual selves within our human experience. (See my book Riding the Wave of Change to learn more about that.) So, we could say that we are pregnant with ourselves! To understand this, we can use some wonderful spiritual phrases: I have a body, but I am not my body. I have a mind, but I am not my mind. I have emotions, but I am not my emotions. I am an eternal spiritual being having a human experience! I first heard those phrases in the early

The Planetary Aura and the Process of Change

People who read my articles and blog posts about planetary ascension have often asked how they can observe for themselves the ascension changes I write about. There are a couple of ways to approach this question, one fairly simple and the other pretty complex, requiring an understanding of the change process. The simple answer is that we are living in two realities simultaneously: the old and the new worlds.   It depends on how we focus our minds and hearts on the reality we experience at a given time. When in a state of worry, anger, or fear, we perceive the old world most strongly, and it can seem as though that is all there is.  When accessing our Higher Self and Inner Wisdom, we perceive the new world most strongly and feel filled with promise and hope. It’s important to remember that change, particularly at the physical level, is a gradual process. The old world still holds the greatest influence at the level of physical experience, while the new world exerts its influence on the higher levels of spirit.  This interplay of influence means that we may find ourselves switching between the old and new worlds multiple times a day.

August Nights

I am blessed through my husband’s family to live up north for half the year.  In a cottage surrounded by pines and oaks, on the edge of a very small grass-covered dune overlooking our beach on Lake Michigan. Summer nights lead me to leave the cottage with its lights and walk carefully along the slender boardwalk that drops off on either side, which I can’t see in the dark under the trees.  But I follow the light ahead to emerge at the grassy dune. If the moon is setting over the water, there is a gravitational pull that I feel down to the cells of my body.  It is magnificent and joyful.  But when the moon is dark, I look straight up.  At the edge of the tree line, spreading out from there, I see the Milky Way Galaxy.  If the night is clear, the infinity of stars, star clusters, and far away light reminds me that I am more than a woman at home here on Earth, in a cottage at the edge of a lake.  I am more than a healer, teacher, and world ascension worker.  I am an eternal soul who has lived across infinite lifetimes within the

Find Your Clear Spot

Your most valuable gift during this time of great change and world uncertainty is your own true inner guidance.  When anxious, upset, or worried, people are inclined to look outside of themselves for wisdom.  However, your clearest source for that will always be within, though working through emotions, judgments, and fears to access inner clarity takes practice.  In this article, I will try to guide you through obvious pitfalls and give you a good chance of getting to your own clear spot for intuitive guidance. Getting Clear: 1 – Breathe and center within your wholeness like a tree and open your heart to receive the flow of unconditionally loving life through your roots below and your branches above into your wholeness of body and aura.  This will become easier as we continue our work. 2 – (This may sound strange, but it works – try it!) Turn around inside yourself, then wrap your spiritual arms around your human self and hold yourself.  Let the love that is flowing through your “tree” from above and below flow through your body and soul.  Breathe and hold yourself, allowing stress to clear.  You will feel stress-filled emotions and thoughts leaving through the top

Within You

Within you shines the morning sun The evening star, the rivers run The bird song and the wondrous flight All come to rest at sacred night This is the chorus to a song I wrote in my 20s, shortly after my father’s death. His passing opened me up and grounded me deeper at the same time. I knew he was alive; I could feel it deep within me. The lightness of his spirit and joy in his new life were obvious. The inner awareness of life and others is significant for us during this time of change and ascension on Earth. As the chorus says, reality is within our own selves. As the vibrations of our world rise out of the darkness of separation and into unity, it is important to recognize the role our inner reality has in birthing the new world. It’s a leap of faith to enter our new world potentials, but as the world around us seems to be dying, that leap becomes a necessity. Who we are is one with all life. Each of us is a unique part of the creator and a part of the creation. Humans hold within us the essence of

Turn It Into Love

We begin our lives with a plan. There is work to be done, and we come onto the planet to play our part. Everyone’s part is different because their plan is prescribed by their unique, eternal, spiritual self. It’s essential to recognize that we each have precisely the circumstances needed to accomplish our jobs within this lifetime. Whatever our experience of life, we all share some things in common. At times, we each can feel sad, angry, lonely, hurt, jealous, hateful, and limited. Overcoming these is the work that all people can share. We can turn these negatives into something beautiful through the power of love. Love is not just a feeling. It is a choice that we can make no matter how we feel. Choosing love is not stuffing your feelings. It is turning them into love. Doing so takes effort, but the results transform our lives and our world. Every time you experience negative reactions to life, recognize this gift. It is your opportunity to bring more love into the world. Remember who you are… you are a part of that eternal spiritual self that chose your work in this life. Meet your outer experiences and your inner

Self Love and True Identity

Self-love can be challenging unless you know WHO you are. From a spiritual perspective, it is funny that people get identified with their limited experience in their current lifetime. To think that you are your body, mind, personality, social or economic status is like identifying with your toenail trimmings. That is not who you are! You are an eternal facet of the Oneness of all life. You are here to grow and evolve your skills as an individual soul and to serve others. The body, personality, family, and everything else about your human self are simply vehicles for fulfilling your purpose in this one out of many lifetimes you have experienced. You have played many roles, and all, whether positive or negative, have been essential for the evolution of the soul for yourself, others, and our world. Love is WHO you are! Unconditional love is the core of your eternal essence and the most important thing about you. We are living in an era where it is time to wake up to our true, eternal identities. We don’t need to retreat to the mountaintop or sign our life away to a religion to do this. Your eternal self is as
