Personal and planetary ascension is such a new idea for people, that even though I talk and write about it all the time, I periodically return to the basics to build a deeper understanding of what is going on and why.

Before creation we were all One.  That One that we often call God, or The Source chose to become many individuals instead of just One Whole.  Each incarnate being is a facet of that One in process of building souls and bodies to live in within the world.

For most of creation up until now our souls have been journeying further and further from that Oneness in the process of developing the soul muscles, qualities and skills to be suitable vehicles for us within the created world.  The planet and all life forms have also been on this journey of separation, which we call the old world experience.

Separating from Oneness has been amazing, but often painful and sad.  The difficulties and suffering of life have been tools to kick us out of the nest of The One and force us to  fend for ourselves, rather like little birds.  It has been harsh, but necessary.

Fortunately we have travelled as far into low vibration and separateness as was needed and have begun rising again in vibration so we can regain our awareness of who we really are.  Our consciousness is awakening to our unconditionally loving connection with God and all of life.  This is the process of ascension and it is creating a new world experience where we can increasingly live in harmony with God, each other and all of life.  We are becoming co-creators with God, each of us integrating  our own facet of God consciousness with our bodies, souls and all other beings in our world and our universe.

On a day-to-day level we are becoming more intuitive, telepathic, self-aware, caring but independent, guided from within, unconditionally loving, aware of our unity with God within our own bodies and souls.  Our bodies and souls are becoming lighter, letting go of negative states of consciousness, releasing old traumas and realizing our strengths, gifts and potential at a much higher level.  Each day, month, season, year, decade we are shifting; integrating higher levels of consciousness and soul, finding new perspective and confidence in our lives.

The world around is undergoing a death of the old ways of life, which can be frightening.  The planet is making it impossible for us to continue in the old ways, everything must change.  This is good, timely and appropriate.  Life forms and people that pass away will be returning in new world bodies, free of the old limitations.  Everything is being reborn and so we have to leave behind what has been painful, but familiar and allow the new to emerge.  It will do so.

Ascension is the next step in evolution.  It is as dramatic a change as life emerging out of the primordial swamp and as inexorable.  We are becoming whole while remaining individual, unifying with God, while partnering with all of life to fulfill a beautiful potential.  We are leaving behind what has made us miserable but is still familiar and therefore feels secure.  Be open to what is true, new, free and being born within us now.
