Fall has descended suddenly here in Northern Michigan.  Only two weeks ago I was swimming in the lake which had finally warmed up!  Now we are preparing to head to the Upper Peninsula for a fall color and waterfall tour.  I’m looking forward to the unique earthly and spiritual vibration that I only experience there.  And not knowing if we will have WIFI or Cellular at blog writing time, I am writing you in advance.  This trip is spurring lots of UP memories because some of my breakthrough moments occurred there.  So, I’m going to share some of those wonderful moments with you.  I know I’ll have new ones to share when I return!

Long ago I would do a regular fall retreat on the Lake Superior shoreline.  Walking the woods before this area became crowded with visitors was a sacred and magical time.  I recall a beaver dam that I’m guessing was 300 – 400 feet long which created a lake.  But the path I was on walked down below that fragile dam which held the water above.  The earth was so rich and the trees so huge, I felt like I was entering an earthly womb and would always leave there reborn in heart, soul and spirit.

One day I hiked long through the woods toward the shore.  I wish I knew where this occurred because I have never found it again.  I noticed as I walked, the sense that all the trees around me were “awake”.  They felt sentient, different than our lower peninsula woods where only some seemed to be that way.  I enjoyed that as I journeyed for several miles, feeling myself at ease within this community of sentient trees.

As I neared the shore, but still in the woods, there was a spring that came out of a rise and dropped amid richly green grass and flowers.  Right at that cusp where grassy dune, flowing water, and plants met arose the largest, lushest birch tree I have ever seen.  Shining bright white and gorgeous it was the only birch among many young maples and beeches.

This tree became an important teacher to me.  I was so awed by her, and I spoke respectfully thanking her for her presence in the world, her beauty and grace.  To my surprise, since I was used to sending telepathically but wasn’t yet used to receiving it outside of my healing and teaching work, she spoke back!  She said, “You don’t have to yell you know, I can hear you perfectly clearly!”.

I was taken aback because I had no idea that I was telepathically so loud!  I immediately softened my psychic voice.  She told me she was busy teaching all these youngsters, and then went back to work.  Wow!

As I continued my walk through the young section of forest which I now realized were being taught by the beautiful matriarch birch, I had some unique experiences.  First, I became aware of the young personalities and different approaches to life of the two different types of trees – maple and beach.  They seemed to be grouped together in small “clicks” like children at a school event.  I could sense their conversations, curiosity, differing levels of spiritual maturity and responses to me.  They were clearly aware of my conversation with their teacher and my initial awkward approach to her. I didn’t feel embarrassed by it, just awed and was likewise curious about them.  It was magical.

As I exited the “school yard” there was a different type of tree that had a low horizontal branch where I sat to eat a yogurt.  I noticed I was being observed and opened my awareness to discover a gnome – my first gnome! – who spoke to me from a higher branch in the tree and said the most unexpected things.  I felt a bit like Alice down the rabbit hole!

First it asked if it could have some of my yogurt, and I can’t recall what I responded to that, but I think it was something like “I don’t think you can eat this”.  I have since learned I probably could have left it a small puddle of yogurt – oh darn.  After that it asked me to take it flying!!!  That really confused me, so I said I thought birds would be better able to help with that since I can’t fly.  It said that birds are not willing to take it flying, then it gave me the vision of an airplane.  I explained that it probably wouldn’t like that so much, since basically you’re enclosed in a metal box and can’t see out very well.  It agreed that didn’t sound so great.

What fun for me!  I used to be friends with a family who were very involved with the nature spirits in their deep woods who saw gnomes all the time.  But this was my first gnome, and it was so funny and interesting!

Telepathy is the language of the new world and has long been the language that spirit beings use to communicate with us.  That is how prayer works too.  We all use telepathy increasingly since the ascension began though we probably don’t really recognize it as such much of the time.  Some ways you probably use it already would include communication with babies and pets who can’t speak with words.  Sending and receiving messages with drivers of other cars.  Messages we send and receive with those who are close to us.

Go ahead and practice using it.  A great way is to send telepathic message of love and encouragement to those you care about.  Especially when there are disagreements, misunderstandings, or someone needs support but isn’t open to hear it verbally.  My favorite telepathic message to send people is “I love you unconditionally and I believe in you”.  This message changes people’s lives.  When they hear it telepathically it goes deep into their soul…touching their inner children and most vulnerable places.  It helps them overcome obstacles and believe in themselves!  It also builds better relationships, especially given from parent to child, or between close adults who maybe don’t always communicate as lovingly or easily as they’d like.

Because telepathy goes so deep into our souls, it is important that your messages be offered with compassion and kindness.  If you are angry, work that out first through your own meditations.  Then communicate in a mature way that what someone did hurt you, or whatever you need to say.  But don’t yell telepathically at someone unless you absolutely need to get their attention.  And then do it with love and compassion.  Sometimes it is what someone needs to hear from you!  But if you yell telepathically in anger or with hatred or judgments about them it can harm someone.  If you do that, you can go back and ask forgiveness and express unconditional love which flows from your Higher Self even if you don’t have conditional love for them which is a human emotion.  Communicating in unconditional love even where there are issues with someone diminishes conflict.  It also clears negativity from your aura and helps you to attract better relationships and experiences for yourself.
