We are building spiritual love muscles!  There is so much in our world that is not loving, or which is hard to love right now.  To ascend into unity we need to identify with our true selves absolutely.  Our true selves are absolutely unconditional love.  So, we can honor the workout gym of life which has given us this opportunity to grow the muscles of unconditional love in every way!  How do we do this?

Unconditional love is not the same as co-dependent love.  It is tough love at its best.  It starts with the attitude that everything and everyone are where and what they are for a greater purpose.  It doesn’t assume blame, punishment or judgment.  It is the opposite of us vs them.  It is also not the same as motherly, nurturing love that takes responsibility for everything.  It is strength in loving action.

Unconditional love works best intuitively.  It responds to each circumstance from an intuitive sense of what is really going and “how I fit into this situation”.  This will only work when we are partnered with our Higher Selves, otherwise we get caught in the usual knee-jerk type reaction.  Unconditional love is willing to leave its mark, to influence others and to speak up.  But it does that from a sense that “whatever action I take needs to be just right for this situation”.  There are no sets of dos or don’ts, there is merely a sense of what is needed and how to respond optimally.  This is where the “unconditional” comes in.  Action is not about personal agendas, but about the greater good, but the greater good also includes oneself.  This isn’t self-less service; it is true self in service and one’s own experience is a part of that.  The only way to know the greater good is to be in touch with Higher Self, and to live from its guidance.

The only way through our current mess on earth is through unity with Higher Self.  Increasingly we are going to see leaders step forward with the unique perspectives and attitudes needed to resolve what appear to be impossible tangles caused by our old world leaders.  These new world leaders will have simple and appropriate responses to resolving problems.  However, they may not be running for office, they may be more in the background, assisting people to find their way despite the political leaders.  Ultimately the leaders we need in our world are present within each of us — our own true Higher Self.  Partnering our human selves with our Higher Selves is how we will find success in the journey of life and ascension.

I have been having good success by inviting people to simply ask their Higher Self to bridge with their human self — body, emotion, mind and spirit.  Our ultimate goal is for perfect unity of all aspects of human self with Higher Self.  The bridge acts like training wheels on a bicycle.  It allows one to ride the “bike” more skillfully than without it.  Gradually a person develops the needed skill and can drop the bridge, just like we probably learned to not use the training wheels.  Regularly inviting your Higher Self to bridge with your human self allows an increasingly comprehensive unity to grow; building the spiritual love muscles we need on every level of self.

Times when we feel angry, hurt, frustrated, judgmental, fearful, hopeless or blaming are the best times to welcome Higher Self to bridge with human self.  These lower reactions are part of our responses to the hurts and frustrations of the old world journey.  We have new world qualities that need to grow within those parts of us that react in those old world ways.  So, while I recommend inviting your Higher Self to bridge with your human body emotion, mind and spirit every morning and evening.  You can grow much needed soul muscles during times of emotional and mental stress and reactivity by doing so at those times too.  The old world feelings and attitudes show you where the new world work is needed most.  When you are already feeling great, you probably won’t even be able to access those places, because they will likely be stuffed somewhere out of the way, allowing you to feel great.  But working to build strength of unconditional love within those less enlightened parts of you will move you quickly into your new world experience.  That is because it lifts up the places in our souls where we are being held within the old world experience.  Unconditional love doesn’t judge our lower natures, but honors that they have a perfect role to play in the old world.  They also play an essential role in our ascension by drawing attention to the places that need work to ascend to new world experience.

As we work this way, we find ourselves coming home to a place within our own body and soul where unity presides in unconditional love.  This is a safe and comfortable new world place within the old chaotic and dangerous world.  Welcome home my friends!
