Here’s another layer of practice to ascend your ego.  It’s so simple you probably forget to do it, though when you do, it makes a world of difference!

Ask for support from your Inner Wisdom, Higher Self, essence of truth of God, Angel Self… whichever part of the continuum of your true self that you feel comfortable asking.  It’s that simple.

Whenever you are entering into an activity, task or goal, or your day ahead, remember that you are part of a continuum of higher intelligence, strength, and unconditional love.  Whether you are lifting something a bit too heavy for you or facing a long hold on the phone trying to get technical support or resolve an issue.  Or maybe you are dealing with people with whom you tend to have conflict or contention.  Maybe it’s something as simple as a drive to the store, with all the unknowns of traffic, parking, people coughing on you in line or extra slow cashiers.  Maybe it’s something that makes you irritable, impatient, or self-judging.  Maybe it’s your neighbors’ political banners.  You are not alone, ever!  But if you feel you are, believe you are, you probably won’t benefit from all the love and support that wants to be there for you.

It’s true that the efficiency of support is strongly impacted by an open heart, being grounded, centered, and aligned with Inner Wisdom in the many ways I have been teaching through this site for years.  So, you may want to take advantage of those tools and build a start-the-day setup which is what I call doing a morning tune-up and spiritual work.  See Resources below this post and explore prior posts to find the tools that will work best for you if you want.  But the most important thing is simply remembering that you are an eternal spirit living in your human incarnation and part of something larger and very loving.  You have a right to ask, and it is part of your job as a human to partner human and divine within the moments and circumstances of your days and nights.

The human body and consciousness need help remembering the unity which is innate to your Inner Wisdom and Higher Self.  So, some reminders and discipline help a lot!  I love sticky notes on the bathroom mirror!  They don’t stick well, so I write just on the sticky bar, tear it off and use that, which stays better.  Better yet, spend time the day ahead and meditate on what is coming up tomorrow.  Invite support for your day from your Inner Wisdom and the higher levels of consciousness and unity which are part of you, for what will happen tomorrow.  Include support for what you don’t know as well as what you know is coming up.

People often ask me how I do what I do, and it is as simple as asking.  That is really it!  Well, there is centering and grounding.  But I have been blessed to be very clear that essence of truth of God is always here with me, as close as my heart is.  So, asking for help has always been second nature to me.

I’d like to make a distinction between asking and prayer.  In essence they may be the same thing.  But many who pray hold the belief that God is something separate and that humans are sinners.  I don’t believe that these things are true.  And I could talk all day about that!  But to keep it simple…Asking is based on the awareness that I am a part of the One.  That my Inner Wisdom is my eternal divine facet of that One which lives within my heart and body.  I don’t need to be perfect or worthy to ask for help.  I already am perfect and worthy.  We are all designed as we are, including faults and limitations for a purpose – again I could talk all day about that and have!  Read my book Riding the Wave of Change for more about it.  So, whether I call this asking or prayer is unimportant.  It is my belief about who I am which makes asking work.  And through asking, support comes in miraculous ways.  Through that I have learned that I am a beloved part of that Oneness which I call essence of truth of God.  I believe that you will too, if you haven’t already.

One thing to note is that if what you ask is not in line with the highest good at the time of asking, support won’t come in the way you have asked, or will be delayed.  There is a higher intelligence at work in our lives and world, and it’s hard to understand why things have to work out as they do.  But when you maintain unity through asking for support, it allows things to work out more smoothly and easily for you regardless.  In effect when you ask for support, you are bringing essence of truth of God with you wherever you go.  Then whatever happens, you have support on hand to get through it as easily as possible.

The cutting edge of ascension at present is ascending the human ego.  Remembering to ask is a fantastic way to facilitate that.  Growing and maintaining a state of unity between human and divine is the essence of ascension.  Everything else follows that.  And it is such a gift to know that we are never alone here.  Help is always as close as your request.
