Your power grows when you are centered.  Without being centered, you are like a leaky basement.  The yuck from outside leaks in and things get stinky and moldy.  The warmth and comfort leak out.

Being centered is not something that comes naturally to most people.  We have to choose it and work for it.

The gifts and enthusiasms we have for life need to grow and prepare to blossom within the safe place that we build for ourselves.  When we hold ourselves centered and with clear boundaries our love, our gifts, and our power grow within us.  We begin to manifest a state of integrity which could be called wholeness.

Our lives are like a garden plot.  They have to be tended in order to bear fruit.  I’m mixing metaphors here – nothing new for me!   People often think that tending to the gardens of our lives has only to do with fulfilling the expectations of the world around and caring for our property and those we love.  Perhaps eating good and working out too.  But, without being centered physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually within our body and aura we get a leaky basement and things tend to go sour.  We can’t quite keep everything working together for good when we forget this core element of our life.  That core is our true eternal spiritual self which desires to live within our body, soul, and aura.  Letting our true selves be centered within our bodies, auras and lives is how our power grows and builds wholeness and success.

Right now, in the world, many spiritual people want to be an influence for love and the greater good.  But if they aren’t tending to their inner garden, their affect on others is minimal.  Without a strong center and good grounding and boundaries, we get pulled into the chaos and become part of the problem as much as an influence for good.  No matter how good our intentions are, we can’t expect to benefit the world significantly if we neglect ourselves.

I’m writing about being energetically centered; as all my tools teach how to be.  Being centered is a choice, but it is also a muscle we need to strengthen.  It is a habit we need to grow.

It is an act of faith in the greater good of each moment, to stay centered, grounded, self-responsible, and act from that wholeness even when we feel fear, doubt, confusion.

When we gain this muscle/habit/faith we become co-creators of life.  Our own Higher Selves can live within our souls and bodies, fully within our lives.  That allows wisdom and unconditional love to flow into the world.  People learn to trust us.  They begin to listen to what we have to say.  We can influence the world for good.

The three tools that come to mind as the most basic for growing your power are listed below:

Be a Tree, Hub and Wheel, and Quick Chakra Tuning.

Physical exercise is also helpful for building your strong focus of self.  While you work out, try opening your heart and belly to your Higher Self and bringing your eternal spirit deeply into your body as you exercise.  Even if you have limited mobility, you can do chair exercises.  They may not do a lot of physical muscle building, but they can help build your spiritual muscle.  You can include Higher Self as mentioned above which will increase your power within.  That can allow healing to happen for body, emotion, mind, and soul as well.

But however you build your muscles of wholeness, whatever tools you choose, consistency is essential.  The desire to lose yourself, to abandon your focus, leads to the leaky basement issue.  It’s a high price to pay.  Owning yourself and your power is worth the commitment.  It is where your safety lies.  Especially during this time when society and Earth are transitioning out of the old world and into the new world and things are uncertain and chaotic.  It is how you can co-create what you need no matter what happens around you.  It’s how you can draw to yourself what is needed, despite limited resources.

Even when you don’t feel like it, make time each day to build your wholeness and learn to stay there all the time.  Resistance is a sign that your power is growing and old limiting elements of body and soul are resisting.  Do it anyway!  It is a wonderful experience to feel whole, to trust yourself, to not be damaged by life, but instead to co-create what is needed.
