It\u2019s an honor to write for you on Thanksgiving.\u00a0 To have a holiday with the explicit intention of gratitude — though we may forget that in the presence of awesome food! \u2013 I think is amazing.<\/p>\n

Gratitude is an act of faith.\u00a0 As we look ahead at the uncertainties of life, to be able to be grateful for what we have now and what we have received in the past shows an ability to step beyond fear into trust.\u00a0 From trust flows gratitude.<\/p>\n

The deepest and most challenging act of gratitude is the ability to be grateful for ourselves.\u00a0 Gratitude for ourselves is a stage in our ascension journey.\u00a0 Knowing as intimately as we do all of our weaknesses and apparent failures, vulnerabilities, anxieties\u2026 being grateful for ourselves is an expression of the higher reality of who we are in the ascended state; of our eternal oneness with the One.<\/p>\n

Long ago, I had the gift of recognizing that I was always working for my Higher Self who is one with the One.\u00a0 I just knew that.\u00a0 I lived in that unity, which was joyful, powerful, blessed.\u00a0 I lived out of my body, to be in that place which was my safety and assurance.\u00a0 This allowed me to recognize something important \u2013 my inadequacies were part of my design.\u00a0 I was perfectly engineered to become a leader of world healing and ascension.\u00a0 I needed that clarity.<\/p>\n

But maturing, I gradually learned to live also in my human self. \u00a0To be reliable for caring for a child, support people to overcome their limitations, to heal, ascend, heal others. \u00a0I learned to build and maintain relationships with all the discomfort and the gifts they bring. \u00a0I have learned how hard it is to maintain the perspective I once owned so easily and sweetly. \u00a0Being grounded right here, moment by moment, within my most human levels of experience it takes deeper trust to own it.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had to build a new kind of love and gratitude for my human self with all my vulnerabilities, fallibility, emotional and mental negativity.\u00a0 Living outside of my body, I was never bothered by these things.\u00a0 I effortlessly rose above them.<\/p>\n

This is my cutting edge for ascension: the acceptance, forgiveness, and yes \u2013 gratitude – for these lower human parts of myself.\u00a0 This is the essence of unconditional love.\u00a0 It is easy to be unconditional when your focus is entirely spiritual.\u00a0 Not so in these denser layers of human experience.<\/p>\n

I have been teaching people for 40 years both to access their spiritual selves and to heal their human selves.\u00a0 Now I ask you to join me in working to be grateful for your own selves.\u00a0 This is a phase of ascension required to get humans out of the morass of hatred, jealousy, greed, blame, opposition and fear.\u00a0 Within us, we each have an opportunity to heal ourselves, love ourselves unconditionally, be grateful for our weaknesses, vulnerabilities, strengths, successes, and apparent failures.\u00a0 We have an opportunity to trust that we are each perfectly designed to play our roles in the world as we ascend.\u00a0 We can accept the perfection of our imperfection!<\/p>\n

Leonard Cohen wrote an amazing song \u2013 \u201cHow the Light Gets In\u201d<\/p>\n

The chorus goes:<\/p>\n

Ring the bells that still can ring<\/p>\n

Forget your perfect offering<\/p>\n

There is a crack in everything<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how the light gets in<\/p>\n

(Take time to google him performing this \u2013 It is deeply humble, true, and beautiful on all levels)<\/p>\n

What if your weaknesses and faults are not bad?\u00a0 What if they are how the light of Higher Self and the One can enter the old world to transform, heal and ascend us?\u00a0 I propose that this is the case!\u00a0 There are no accidents, and each person\u2019s Higher Self agreed to play a role on the stage of life\u2026moment by moment, affecting others and our own experiences.\u00a0 Sometimes our effects seem to be hurtful, but what if those are necessary hurts causing us and others to grow, to let the light in, to ascend?<\/p>\n

This is what I believe is going on in our little moments and experiences and on the world stage.\u00a0 We are each playing the role as designed.\u00a0 We can only do that.\u00a0 Others may take umbrage or be hurt by us, or us by them.\u00a0 This is the script we must play.<\/p>\n

The choice we can make that takes us beyond the scripted old-world play is to love unconditionally.\u00a0 To be grateful.\u00a0 To see ourselves as perfect just as we are, and all others as well.\u00a0 To trust.<\/p>\n

Why does the world need to be chaotic on every level right now?\u00a0 I propose that it is to cause us to give up our belief that we can fix it and make the old world a better old world!\u00a0 It is dying, and it is a mess, and we are all still a part of it for awhile yet.\u00a0 What do we do once we stop trying to fix it?\u00a0 We can choose to trust, let things work out, build the new world within our own selves and our lives.<\/p>\n

Forgiveness, compassion, trust, unconditional love are things which can only begin within relationship to ourselves.\u00a0 We can\u2019t give them to others until we find them within, and it is hard!\u00a0 But it is also as easy as surrendering (which can be easy or hard depending on how you look at it).<\/p>\n

Gratitude for self, and trust of self can be born of self-forgiveness.\u00a0 Of unconditional love.\u00a0 Unearned, and completely ours by right.<\/p>\n

This Thanksgiving, take a few moments to open your heart to yourself.<\/p>\n

1 – To hold yourself, your heart and belly, in a deep, warm, hug.\u00a0 To hug past the feelings of unworthiness until you find acceptance, compassion, and love within your heart for yourself.<\/p>\n

This act will break through the defenses and judgments you have erected throughout your lifetimes.\u00a0 Crying will be helpful if your heart can open and allow it to wash you clean.\u00a0 But it isn\u2019t required.<\/p>\n

2 – Welcome Higher Self and essence of truth of God to enter in through the cracks of your old-world self to bring light and healing to assist your ascension into unity and wholeness.<\/p>\n

3 – From there you cab begin to recognize the rightness and importance of your human experiences, foibles, and failures.\u00a0 You can learn to honor them as necessary gifts to the world, though possibly not yet understood. To trust the greater good that flows through you always.<\/p>\n

You are a part of the whole world.\u00a0 When you let the light into the cracks within your own old world human self, it enters the whole world and helps others to heal and ascend.<\/p>\n

This may be the hardest work I\u2019ve ever asked you to do.\u00a0 Will you do it?\u00a0 Our world needs your gift.\u00a0 You will not be alone in this exercise\u2026\u00a0 I will be doing it too.<\/p>\n
