People experience preferential love, selfless love and unconditional love.\u00a0 What are the differences?<\/p>\n
The feeling of \u2013 \u201cOh!\u00a0 I love that!\u201d\u00a0 Is what we often think of as love in the human sense.\u00a0 \u201cThis is something I want, it is something I need\u201d.\u00a0 Preferential love is all about our human selves and our human needs and desires.\u00a0 These preferences have been all-important in the old world, helping us as we try to ascertain what is right for us.\u00a0 It hasn\u2019t always been truly helpful and has often led us down a path that was very hard for us, but it has been a primary compass of our lives.<\/p>\n
An old-world alternative to preferential love is selfless love, which is often considered to be more spiritual.\u00a0 Selfless love gives its all for those it feels deserving of service.\u00a0 It is a way of self-abandoning and can often disempower others.\u00a0 It may create more problems than it helps.\u00a0 Everyone is essential.\u00a0 Sacrifice of one for others leaves a hole in the whole of life.<\/p>\n
When we take responsibility for our own well-being on every level and include unity with our eternal spiritual true self, we become whole. \u00a0From that wholeness flows a highly intelligent love, which understands on a profound level of knowing how each person and situation is exactly right for the role they play in the world.\u00a0 This is unconditional love.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t judge or seek to rescue unless that is truly needed.<\/p>\n
Unconditional love doesn\u2019t sacrifice the human it flows through, but enhances them, enlightens them, guides them to right choices and behaviors.\u00a0 That person becomes a deep well of unconditional love.\u00a0 It isn\u2019t a fountain that pours indiscriminately on everyone and everything.\u00a0 It is a well that others, through their own initiative, can access if needed.\u00a0 Ideally, they learn to access their own well within their own selves increasingly rather than becoming dependent on someone else to provide it.<\/p>\n
When we are in unconditional love, preferences take second place to the inner knowing of what is right and needed in each moment, day, circumstance.\u00a0 Drawing from that deep well within, we learn to recognize the signs that tell us how to fulfill our greatest purpose and good every minute of our days and night.\u00a0 We learn when to give, when to receive, when to reach out, when to wait.\u00a0 We learn when to persevere and when to retreat or change direction.<\/p>\n
Drawing clarity and direction from our own deep well of unconditional love and unity with Higher Self is challenging if done occasionally.\u00a0 If we save it just for those times where we have great need, it will be very hard to access.\u00a0 When we make it a more consistent partnership between our human desire and will-power joined with the deep well of inner knowing we hone our skills.\u00a0 We become trustworthy for ourselves.\u00a0 We find ourselves constantly in the place where we need to be.\u00a0 Sometimes that place is difficult but will prove to be extremely valuable for soul muscle building and skill development.\u00a0 Sometimes the goodness of life will flow into our lives with great synchronicity, generosity, and ease.\u00a0 Getting what we want is not a reliable indicator of unity with Higher Self.\u00a0 What we want isn\u2019t a trustworthy guide, though it is important to pay attention to it, so that we are aware of what motivates us.\u00a0 Sometimes what we prefer is exactly what we need and sometimes not, and our deeper knowing will help us recognize what\u2019s right for us in each moment.<\/p>\n
Ascension is leading us into this deep well of true partnership between our eternal spiritual Higher Self and our human focus.\u00a0 As we walk this path, the wounds of our past can heal, and we can become whole.\u00a0 We are always nourished from within, and so whether others give us what we want or not becomes less and less of a concern.\u00a0 If what we need isn\u2019t forthcoming from people and places where we think it should be, it means we need to find it within or allow it to show up in a new way.<\/p>\n
The strengthening of our unity and spiritual soul muscles allows us to trust that our greater good is always being provided for.\u00a0 That what we cannot do ourselves will come from another source.\u00a0 But when it isn\u2019t flowing from another, we will need to delve into our inner well of higher intelligence and unconditional love and discover what is expected of us that is new.\u00a0 In responding to that we will find new and better ways to provide for ourselves and our world.\u00a0 We are truly Riding the Waves of Change, and this is how it is done.<\/p>\n
