To live in our new world self, we have to let go of the old world obsessions.\u00a0 In the old world we worry about things and try to control things and get bogged down and overwhelmed by them.\u00a0 But many of those things don’t exist in the new world, or if they do, they don’t carry\u00a0any worry or stress.<\/p>\n
Think of life as God’s river.\u00a0 Step out of bed into the river and surrender to the flow of the day.\u00a0 In a river as in life, there are obstacles and hard\u00a0things such as\u00a0rocks and downed trees.\u00a0 Give all the hard things to God; it is God’s river, and if you try to control these things you will be beaten up by the force of the river as you run into the rocks.<\/p>\n
But in life, as in the river, there is a current that flows around the obstacles and will carry you safely through to a calm place.\u00a0 Surrendering your worries and responsibilities into God’s care, these things will work out in exactly the right way with minimal stress.\u00a0 Just go with the flow and you will find yourself arriving in the new world with greater ease and joy.<\/p>\n
