How do we define love in ascension terms?<\/p>\n

Having lived this ascension journey for so many years now, I am struck by how my definition of love has changed!\u00a0 My old definition of love fell more in the realm of passionate attraction, preference, desire, what made me feel at home and comfortable, what I needed, what I felt was worthy \u2013 these things elicited a feeling or attitude of what I called love. \u00a0I think we could say these are common interpretations of love in the old world experience.\u00a0 Something different happens though as we ascend into greater unity with our eternal true selves.<\/p>\n

Increasingly I define love as a current of energy from the Source of Life that I allow to flow through me.\u00a0 As I ascend I become better at doing this, and when I do this I ascend!\u00a0 I am learning to let it flow despite my attractions, preferences, desires, comfort, needs and judgments of worthiness.\u00a0 I do this when I identify with and experience myself as a part of the Source, nourished and provided for by it.\u00a0 This is in contrast to being defined by my limitations and so needing to be loved and comforted by the world around me.\u00a0 As this flow becomes more constant with practice, I feel the strength of the Higher Power, the gift of Higher Intelligence and the unity of unconditional love defining my experience, my responses and providing for my comfort and my life.<\/p>\n

Reactions of fear, judgment, worry, blame, hatred, limitation etc. are still present, but instead of being defined by them, I am defined by my willingness to allow the flow of unconditional loving energy from the source into these attitudes and responses to life; so that they can be healed and transformed.\u00a0 Every reaction becomes an opportunity for healing and ascension.<\/p>\n

So learning to breathe into the moment, to open my heart and relax my mind to receive that flow becomes a constant intention throughout my days and nights.\u00a0 Love becomes something that is pertinent to every situation, person and choice.\u00a0 My goal is to let it flow always; so that increasingly love is who I am.\u00a0 This doesn\u2019t really have much to do with whether others perceive my actions as fulfilling their needs and desires.\u00a0 Love isn\u2019t an obligation to make others happy so they love me; it is an opportunity to be in oneness with Source.<\/p>\n

Do I feel I have achieved this goal?\u00a0 Not always but increasingly.\u00a0 It is good that I am also of the old world reactions, because that is where I serve.\u00a0 Every time I let love flow despite fears and other old world reactions I am helping to build the new world for all of us.<\/p>\n

This is a work that all of us can do if we so choose.\u00a0 Our human self gives us endless opportunities to bring the love into where we are in the moment.\u00a0 We can choose to judge ourselves as unworthy, but that would completely miss the point and the opportunity!\u00a0 Each of us is a part of the unconditional love which created all life.\u00a0 Choosing this work of love is choosing to remember that and to embody that more fully.<\/p>\n
