{"id":1824,"date":"2018-07-20T04:02:15","date_gmt":"2018-07-20T08:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spiritualhealers.com\/blog\/?p=1824"},"modified":"2023-07-02T23:46:42","modified_gmt":"2023-07-03T03:46:42","slug":"the-secret-of-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spiritualhealers.com\/blog\/?p=1824","title":{"rendered":"The Secret of Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How many types of love are there? &#8212;\u00a0love of pleasure, passionate love, Love of beauty and goodness, sympathetic love,\u00a0\u00a0love of family, of comfort, of possessions,\u00a0love of\u00a0an individual, love of community, love of service, love of self.\u00a0 Almost all the ways that humans can love have to do with being pleased by something we find worthy and that makes us feel good.\u00a0 How\u00a0can we know unconditional love?<\/p>\n<p>The secret is that unconditional love is only available\u00a0from the enlightened place\u00a0where our Higher Selves always reside.\u00a0 From our lower human self, unconditional love may seem like a mystery, we may believe we have a concept of it, but when it really comes down to it, it is more\u00a0challenging than\u00a0we may\u00a0expect.\u00a0To know unconditional love, we need to\u00a0be in partnership with our Higher Selves.\u00a0Ascending, we are increasingly living that partnership, and in that place we can&#8217;t help but be unconditionally loving.\u00a0 In the transition between lower human consciousness and enlightened\/ascended consciousness, meditating on unconditional love can help us to hone in on our true path.<\/p>\n<p>I think that you will be pleasantly surprised by how much progress\u00a0you have made in learning to love unconditionally when you read the following list!\u00a0 To the degree that you have learned to respond in these ways even some of the time, you are already integrating your Higher Self into your life. In other words, YOU ARE ASCENDING!<\/p>\n<p>Characteristics of unconditional love include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acceptance\u00a0that everything is\u00a0as it is supposed to be for the time and circumstances &#8212; even ourselves.<\/li>\n<li>Committing\u00a0to live from our\u00a0individual core of truth to the degree that\u00a0we are able, without judging the behaviors and choices of others or having an attitude of superiority.<\/li>\n<li>Forgiving distress and discomfort others cause or that\u00a0we cause others &#8212; accepting and seeking to understand\u00a0and\u00a0satisfy\u00a0the purpose discomfort holds for us in each uncomfortable situation.\u00a0 This allows us to gain what we need from the experience and discomfort than becomes unnecessary.<\/li>\n<li>Remembering that all souls are\u00a0purposeful\u00a0for an enlightened aspect of the One, even those who appear evil.\u00a0\u00a0Unconditional love honors\u00a0the roles and jobs that each soul plays in the greater purposes of life, even\u00a0when we\u00a0don&#8217;t understand them.<\/li>\n<li>Honoring the path of those who appear to be victims &#8212; that these are\u00a0valid roles and contracted experiences for people, animals, and the environment. Remembering that\u00a0all souls are eternal and therefore safe and unbreakable.\u00a0Helping where that feels\u00a0right for us to do so,\u00a0but without superiority, judgment or shame.<\/li>\n<li>Having compassion for all souls and the experiences they undergo to evolve and ascend, including ourselves.<\/li>\n<li>Being thankful for the presence of the One as we invite it to enfold all things in unconditional love, and\u00a0ask it\u00a0to bring the greatest benefit with the least suffering to all life, through all experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Unconditional love allows us to forgive ourselves and others without having to make someone right and someone wrong.\u00a0 It is compassionate to both sides.<\/li>\n<li>It can use all expressions of emotion, thought and power in ways which are exactly right for the circumstances.\u00a0 Anger used in unconditional love is just the right amount of force to allow appropriate change to happen, no more, no less &#8212; it is not a reaction, but an action of choice that flows from love.\u00a0 Love used in unconditional love chooses to be free from sticky agendas or the need to have love returned &#8212; in unconditional love we are love, and therefore not wounded by the lack of love from others.\u00a0 We are filled with love and unity with Higher Self\u00a0and therefore satisfied.<\/li>\n<li>Unconditional love withholds where giving will disempower ourselves or others\u00a0&#8212; allowing others to find the strength within to achieve and grow in their lives.\u00a0\u00a0And it\u00a0gives freely\u00a0where there is a clear sense that giving is appropriate and empowering for ourselves and\u00a0others but without agendas on what the receiver does with it.<\/li>\n<li>Unconditional love holds us as we step into new or uncertain circumstances and find ourselves riding the waves of change in our lives and world.\u00a0 It gives us the ability to trust and access our higher intelligence to make the most of the opportunities each day presents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I am certain that there is still so much that I don&#8217;t know about unconditional love, but walking the path of spiritual healing and ascension I learn more each day.\u00a0 If you have something to add to this list, please share a comment!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for liking or sharing this post if it pleases you to do so \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Blessings and love on your journey of ascension!\u00a0 Eve<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How many types of love are there?
