During the ascension process we see many things on the planet apparently breaking down.  From the environment, to our bodies and our socio-economic structures, we undergo intense periods of change.  When you see this there is another side to the change; which if you focus on that, it helps the shift to go easier.

The old world experience is not just breaking down, it is breaking open like the egg of a newborn chick.  It is to allow the greater life of the chick to be born out of the old.  The chick can only live within that egg until its time to be born, and when that time comes, the egg shell becomes thin and no longer supports it.  The chick is too big for that old home.

Our home on the planet and within our bodies is undergoing a similar shift.  I was thinking today of the ozone layer of the planet and how just when people are finally trying to protect it, our greatest absorber of the carbon which breaks it down – our forests, are experiencing huge fires and the poles are melting, releasing much more carbon than human industry and cars into the atmosphere.   Perhaps the breaking down of ozone is an opening for God to build our new planetary experience.  I love and support all the efforts to protect the environment and our planet’s atmosphere, but I also recognize that these changes are not an ending, but a rebirthing.

Here is a prayer you can use when you observe these changes, to focus on the positive change that is happening and help midwife the new world:

Welcome Essence of Truth of God (or whatever name you call the wholeness from which all life springs).

Please awaken and arise within these elements of life which are breaking open to set you free from within our world.

Help us realize our own true self as a valued part of the wholeness that is being born.

Help our dear planet earth to be nurtured through these changes and to emerge better than ever before in all her beauty and potential.

Please let this transition be as gentle as is optimal for all concerned.
