The following quote from Rudolph Steiner’s Calendar of the Soul addresses the evolution of soul through the seasons of the year.  I love the current week’s verse celebrating the increase of spirit life that joins with our human self during the spring to stimulate new growth:

When from the deeps of soul

The spirit turns itself toward being of worlds,

And beauty wells from space-expanses,

Then draws from farthest heavens

The force of life to human bodies,

And joins with mighty action

The spirit’s being into human being.

I am feeling it, I bet you are too, that sense of more aliveness and joy that is spring.  We think of it generally as a gift from the earth and the sun.  However, this verse indicates that it is more than that.  It is a cosmic connection to the “being of worlds” and” beauty from the space-expanses”.  We are intimately a part of something much bigger than just life on planet earth.

In spring, following our struggles to get through the cold and dreary months drawing on inner resources to nurture our lives; we are rewarded by an influx of beauty and higher spirit joining with our human bodies to stimulate us to “mighty action”.

Divine Being is acting through us more than ever this spring, to birth us into our new world selves.  Be open to that impulse and the opportunity to grow into a truer version of yourself!
