Moment by moment we stand in a place where spirit and earth meet.  We are that interface and it gives us the opportunity to birth the new world a little bit at a time.  The new world is born when there is union between the physical experience and the essence of truth in spirit — or the truest and clearest focus of spirit we are capable of at that moment.

What is the new world?  It is the levels of consciousness that exist when unconditionally loving spirit is unified with the physical world.  This unity lifts life out of the swamp of our lower natures of fear and all its bi-products, and creates the types of experience that begin to show us why we have all bothered to undergo so many lifetimes of incarnation, since creation first began.

Existing as we are currently, between the old world fear-based experience and the new world of unity and unconditional love, the act of strengthening our unity with our true spirit or Higher Selves has a number of effects – all of them beneficial, but some temporarily uncomfortable.  If a person’s life is like a river, there are places in that river where debris has piled up and made the flow of life sluggish.  Increasing unity with true spirit is like increasing the flow of water in that river – it washes away the debris and increases the energy of our lives.  But the passing of the debris creates some temporary discomfort, be it physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.  So when you feel the increase of energy you will feel gratefully more alive; but when you feel the large tree trunks and old truck tires trying to wash out of your system and bumping along into parts of your river bank, you may clench up and decide something is wrong.  It’s okay, relax!  You are growing stronger and so you can release those old blocks, and ultimately it will make you feel more alive, clear, whole and free.

To continue with our river metaphor, the changes in the world are moving exponentially fast, and it makes it hard to plan 5 days ahead, let alone 5 or 10 years!  During times of great change it is enough to be present moment by moment, allowing your Higher Self to guide you from within.  Practice breathing into your body, giving yourself an inner hug and accessing the still place of your Inner Wisdom, which is a bit of your Higher Self within you, easiest to find in your heart chakra.  From there, welcome your Higher Self from above you to embrace your life and bring you into the flow of true purpose in each moment.  With each opportunity to choose or act, breathe and center on your Inner Wisdom and welcome the sense of true purpose to inform your actions in life.

Your Inner Wisdom will be able to integrate your instinctual responses, mind and emotions with your higher intelligence and unconditional love.  This combination helps you find your way step by step through the opportunities of your life.  And when you are unified with your Inner Wisdom and Higher Self, the Higher Power is able to move through your life in powerful ways, bringing as much of the new world experience as you can handle in each moment.

We have to go back and forth between the old and new world experience during this transition.  We move forward into the new world and it awakens our true self and brings us to a place where we feel secure, at home and potently creative.  Then we slip back into our old world self and the increased energy of our true self, harvests what is ready to ascend and helps it find its way out of the muck and into the new world. As we do this, we are not only ascending ourselves, but our connections to family, soul group, community, state, country and planet mean that our efforts assist all others who are connected with us to ascend when they are ready to do so.  Our personal work unwinds elements of the old world matrix and weaves the new world experience simultaneously.

The balance of old world and new world, is a lot like the balance of light and dark here at the Fall Equinox — both polarities are doing their part to facilitate our ascension.  Everything has its rightful place in each moment of life.  This awareness allows us to trust the process of change we are undergoing.  All births are challenging and this birth is particularly so because it requires the entire world to change, not just one individual or family, or country.  When you are grounded in the world and simultaneously unified with your Higher Self you help things change more gently, with less resistance to the impulse of life.  It also increases the power of the new world energy so it lifts us out of the debris and helps us enjoy the process of increased freedom and aliveness.
